Adam has always loved a Numbat and this corner of the world
is the only place they are found and there are only 1000 left, so we set off in
search of these elusive creatures. They are found in a place called Tone Perup
nature reserve. We had a fantastic day searching down all sorts of forest
tracks looking and listening. We had the van in tow and some of the tracks
turned out to be an adventure, branches to go round and water over the tracks
in some places. The bush out there was very similar to Strathewen before the
fires so it kind of felt like home. There were wildflowers galore but the Numbats stayed out of sight.

Maya to the rescue she went first to make sure we wouldn't get bogged
Our overnight stop was Shannon’s camp ground this was a
great find. We had a lovely fire that night. This place had flushing loos and
hot showers for $30 tucked in the beautiful bush would recommend this place.
