We had heard that this is probably the worst Rd in the Kimberly so we set off with excitement and bit of trepidation. Munurru is owned by the community up there and has a care taker for the season. It is the half way camp for Mitchell Plateau. The station workers had said that the Rd in was no worse than what we had been on so take it easy and all should be well, Good advise ( this time)Its not a big drive up there so we got there with plenty of time to set up. The camp ground is basic only drop toilets and fires are allowed the payment is an honesty system $35 per family cash only. We had time for an afternoon swim. The swimming was a treat. Lovely clear water and a quick rock hop to set of water falls that is home to resident fresh water croc. Beautiful. That night the camp was full of sounds of the flying foxes and Dingo's howling in the distance and then coming into camp looking around the fire for a scrap.
