Home Valley Station the Gibb 28th July

 Home Valley Station

We left El Questro heading for Home Valley. The real driving starts now. Tyres down and unsealed. The  Cockburn Ranges are huge on the landscape and are awesome to look at. The dust is flying out of the back of the car and other travellers. We noticed that people take different approach's to the Gibb. Some want conquer and some want to travel. We took that latter. We arrived at Home Valley station and set up. The gates at the station are an art work with the beautiful words inscribed (see photo) they really resonated with me and made me tear up. We chose the bush camp here which is 4 kms from the homestead on the Pentecost river. Its hot and dusty but the sunset is to die for. It lights up the Cockburn ranges and reflects in the river. We spent the day by the pool. Which the kids enjoyed and made some friends.
